Sanibel Island's mangroves make comeback in Clam Bayou

The News-Press

The 2011 photo shows hundreds of skinny, forlorn-looking propagules (germinated seedlings) that had just been planted on the naked shoreline of a small island at north end of the bayou; in last week's photo, the site is a lush piece of mangrove forest.
