Recent advancements in ultrasonic flow metering technology have meant that the systems' long-held reputation for poor accuracy is now dated and largely no longer applicable.
An example of modern, high-quality ultrasonic flow meters is the German designed and built Flexim range of flow transmitters. For example, the WD range has an accuracy of ±0.5% of the reading ±0.01m/s.
These are available as both standalone devices, or integrated into dedicated packages coupled with logging equipment within the Sebaflow range of SebaKMT equipment.
